Help . . . leaking fluid from clutch reservoir
« on: January 08, 2009, 11:58:43 AM »

Went out this morning and noticed my clutch handle had fluid on it.  >:(  Anyway, after taking the handle off, I found the source of the leak.  There is a rubber boot around the little plunger that is actuated when you squeeze the clutch handle, and the boot has a small split in it.  Not a very big split, but enough that a small amount of fluid is forced out each time I squeeze the clutch.  It looks like it has just gotten old and split over time.

My question is, can the rubber boot itself be replaced?  Or am I going to have to replace the entire clutch fluid reservoir?  ???  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

try this website www.bikebandit.com , they are supposed to have oem parts for pretty much anybike. they also have drawings of the specific part and were they are supposed to go. if you think you can rebuild it yourself, this would probably be the cheapest way to go.  if all else fails, you could always take it to the shop
