Hummm. I knew they were moving production from Ohio back to Japland but hadn't heard of discontinuation. I'm finding this a little hard to believe.  ???

Yes no more 1800... for 2009  if you want an 1800 there are lots of new 06, 07, 08 all over the place... you shold be able to buy an 1800 for the the price of a new 09 1300.  All you have to do is shop around.  It sux that they discontinue the 1800 but they made too many of them and it didn't sell well.

That's still too much.  Start calling all the Honda shops around here, and maybe a few out of town but not too far away.  Make them go back and forth with prices, until you get under 10K.  Then you'll have found a great deal.

BINGO, sheen, trust what MRVTX said  ::) , the figure you quoted is WAY TOO much  :o and I know of a couple of places that can beat it, but they aren't in TX (one's in West TN and the other is in East TN), however, they'll save you at least $2,000, so that should justify a one-way ticket. JMHO.

I hate to say it, but there are plenty of other big cruisers that are just as good or better than the vtx 1800.  Yamaha makes some pretty mean machines!  Don't flame me either!

try AL lamb in Dallas they ad some hot prices on wings bet they deal on 1800x's as well. Also the guy in Klute although I hear he's kind of a jerk. Houston Honda seems to be ahigh priced dealer to me . Shop around , you can beat their price by a bunch. That zuki 109 is also a bad cruiser. HD, I'd rather drink the Kool-aid. Why go slower?
