It is a known that the VTX speedos are off.  I bought a GPS last week and tested on my truck and it was right on the mark.  Tested it on the X today and my speedo reads 6 mph faster than what the GPS reads.

6 faster at all speeds?.... or one speed in particular?

I checked the GPS at 40, the X read 46.  I checked the GPS at 60 and the X was at 66, same at 70.

just curious, how bad is your odometer off. when i switched to the 1300 final mine went from being 4 miles an hour fast to 5 miles an hour slow.  my odometer went from being off by 3 miles high for every 100 miles to 9 miles low for every 100 miles.

Same here I always wonder why I have never been stop for speeding. my GPS and Speedometer are not the same so I hire a science guy.  The GPS is not correct because of the earth turns to the east so if your traveling east your speed is greater than traveling to the west.

So we can do north to south and it will be good??
