Anyone have, use one of these?

Seems like a nice unit - found one new for $349

they're nice, but the memory is stationary so you can't use separate cards for different places. That said... I put almost everything I need on a 128 MB card for my streetpilot 3. you just need to think about how long your trips are gonna be and then get put the right map sections on there. it should work fine, and it's compact.

For the money, I think the Garmin Quest or Quest 2 are the best for m/c app's.

no mp3 on the quest.... and it's pretty small, but functional. the Iway is sweet. pepsX and VTexan both have it and they love it.

I've been looking for an affordable  :P GPS unit for the X.  How are you folks mounting these on your bike?  Are they hardwired or battery operated? :-\

hard-wired, RAM mounted. works great. just don't forget to turn the unit off, unless you hook it up to a switched power source.

The Quest can go with either battery or power from the bike (there's an accessory for mounting and wiring).  Advertised as 20 hour battery life per charge.
