It started raining Sunday and won't stop until after tomorrow. I am a panhandle man, so I can't gritch about rain. It's agen the law to complain about rain up here.
Yes, I can, and do ride in the rain, but I am ready for that Indian summer that we sometimes get that lasts until mid December. It dose not happen every year, but I sure enjoy it, when it happens. From now until April if I ride 100mi from home I need to be set, to ride out a snow storm at the nearest town with a bar. They are far apart and hard to find here. I know them all . No more following trucks through the snow for me, I will lay up, and wait for the snow to melt,or head south, and call home for a kitchen pass. Normal kitchen passes, are wife's permission, to go to the Titty Bar. Yes I can find myself in trouble even with a valid kitchen pass.
This is the best time to ride up here, but it is a bit risky. Got a possum in the bobcat trap, such fun to play with, will keep trying. Spider's will do in a pinch, easier to haul on a bike anyway.
