Request for trip guidance
« on: October 09, 2008, 04:03:47 PM »

I have the last week of October off from work, and i am wanting to take a trip on the bike.

Anyone have and suggestions for a route and place/places to go visit?  Was thinking of doing some camping, but i am open to suggestions.

A VTX can cover a lot of ground in a week. Lots of good places to find in every direction. We haven't had cold weather here in the panhandle yet, so we are overdue for a cold snap. It shouldn't amount to much more than frost, but it could get ugly cold.

yeah... you could go up to the Eureka Springs area and ride around for a week and still not hit all the great roads.

Yep, good plan. Go to Hot springs, AR then from there take scenic hwy 7 north towards Eureka.  I'm actually planning that trip later next year in spring or something.  probably looking around 1700 to 1800 miles total. O0
