Has anyone used the new Biker Bay in Euless for repairs
« on: September 17, 2008, 10:15:02 AM »

I have an 03 1800c that I need to have the valves adjusted.
DFW Honda seems to be "Expensive".
Has anyone had any dealings with or service performed at the new Bikers Bay on 183 in Euless?
If so, do they seem to know what they are doing?

My biggest question about Biker's Bay is that it's like a "drive in, wait, drive out" place right?  You can't do valves like that...unless you trailer the bike.  I probably making a bad assumption that they don't do overnight jobs of course.

Yes, They handle a variety of repairs, add ons and general maintenance.
They told me the valves would be a next day turnaround.

I had them do my fork seals, one was leaking, a couple of months ago when they first opened and was very happy with service and price, had it back in three hours.  O0  O0

On the other side of the coin, my buddy has his shadow in there right now for a clutch leak and they are having some problems getting the correct part from Honda, they say, and have had it for a week now.  :-\

That's good information.  Based upon your experience and conversations with them, would you trust them with adjusting your valves?

From what I've learned from previous discussions on this forum it's hard to trust anyone to do your valves unless your there with them, now Biker Bay is set up so you can watch them work so if you could schedule it that way you'd know it's getting done right.  :-\  :-\

Unless your valves are that far off that you can tell, in which case if it runs better afterwards you know they fixed it.

I just called them about a oil change. $100 because I use amsoil. They will do it for $75 if I bring in my own oil.

I called back later, and was told $65 for regular oil. Something doesn't add up....

Honda doesn't charge but fifty or so here to change oil.

Why pay someone to change your oil...... Bring it to Alvarado, I'll change it for $25.... you bring oil and filter.   8)

I haven't used them for repairs yet but I have gotten tires there and they always gave me a very good deal.

I checked about service there and it was $300 +parts -  DFW was $600 +parts

I changed it last summer and put in amsoil. I put 4-5k on her since the change.

It's just a hassle for me. I'd rather change the oil in my diesel everyday than deal with the bike. I do enjoy working on the bike, I just HATE changing the oil.  :-\

Will they install a car tire?
