Power Commander II
« on: July 09, 2006, 03:04:22 PM »

I have an option for a power commander II for $150 brand new, in a box.  2 questions.

First, is this a good deal.

Second:  Other than the usb, what features/benifits do I have with the pcIII?

I may be wrong and there is a very good chance I am but it seems like the PCIII alloys you to lean the fuel mixture as well as richen it and the PCII only alloys you to richen it.
Hopefully someone who knows for sure will chime in.

Are you sure it's not just a PCIII serial cable version?

I'm also not aware of a PCII for our bike.  I think you are thinking of the PCIII with the Serial Cable vs USB.  The only difference I'm aware of, and I'm not even 100% sure about this, is the level of fuel adjustment is greater on the USB version.  The serial version allows for adjustment at 500 rpm increments whereas the USB version allows for 250 rpm adjustments.  Also the USB version allows for tuning of each cylinder, I'm not sure if the serial version has this ability or not.
