Cypress:  Power just came back on.  We lost a lot of trees around the subdivision, fences down everywhere.  I saw some siding and roof materials in the street.  Our oak trees lost about 1/2 of the leaves. I was up all night and expected more damage than we have.  I can't believe our metal storage building is still there.  I hope all are safe, we can clean everything else up.

Richmond, lost power last night at 11:30 PM. Just came back on about an hour ago at 3:00 PM. Although there's been some flickering.

Bob, those shingles might be mine.  Lost some limbs from our big oak, side fences and front fence on one side.  Minor roof leaks...enough to really pi$$ me off.  Can't do anything till it stops raining.

I remember when I was ten and growing up in Richmond.  Hurricane Carla was coming and our family sheltered with friends in their sturdy home a block from Calvary Episcopal Church.  We lost power for days but they had an old natural gas refrigerator they pulled out of storage and we had cold food until the power came back.  It was almost time for the rice harvest and the crops were flattened - total loss.

Hang in there everyone.  I hope everyone came through relatively unscathed.

I guess this is the spot for role call? At a friends with a generator right now. I have no power and my Sprint phone is worthless, it has been on roam since yesterday and doesn't go through half the time, tried to text out all day yesterday  >:(.  Lots of branches down no trees, after driving around yesterday I feel really blessed not to have a tree down. There were probably a 100 down beteewn my house and my friends.

I got a text from Jason yesterday he and Lori are fine  just no power.

Louis:  I was out looking for those shingles.  I got out and looked and my roof is missing a couple.  Its no big deal except we have a 2 story house and I'm not in love with heights.  We have a big mess in the yard, and it won't stop raining long enough to clean up.

Just got power back at 9:30 sunday.  Been out using a chain saw and scouting the area all day.  The subdivision was pretty hammered. About 20% of the fences are down. Trees are on houses, cars, and just plan old snapped and uprooted. No major damage to the house but alot of clean up needed.

Well, we're still without power, and our water pressure is low.  Our septic system is about full, too.

I'm wondering about Dusty Bill, Randy & the others out there.  Steve said Bryan (bgreer) & Patti lost their home completely.

Anyone know where I can get a generator???

I have Vanessa, the kids, and my mother with me in Louisiana. My house made it through another one without any major damage. I talked to Bill this morning, and he was having a tree removed from his roof. Bridge City has catastrophic damage from the water, along with the entire downtown area of Orange. I hope everyone is okay and please be careful trying to get things cleaned up.
