God Bless & take care for a speedy recovery. Yes, the arm, wrist and foot casts will cause an itch. But I am sure you can handle that if you were trying to give her a ripping. Ya'll are in our prayers.

WOW! She's a verrrry lucky young lady! From the looks of the pictures, that blew me away, she had to have God as a co-pilot on that on. We pray for a speedy recovery.

Thanks for all the prayers and Get Wells. Yesterday she was sitting in a chair and feeling pretty good considering. Looks like I might be able to have her transferred to New Braunfels by next week. Even though I work in Austin and can visit her daily it still makes for a long day. And her daughter has to drive from the Sea World area in San Antonio.

A little update:
Well Belle was moved into rehab last Saturday after week in the hospital. She is going to be there for
about 3 Weeks and isn't looking forward to it..lol..But with 2 broken arms and possible nerve damage to her
shoulder she needs the help right now.
Monday started off a little bumpy but she has started rehab. But the best part is
she now can feed her self. They bolted a fork to what lools like a butter knife and it swivels
to just he right angle so she can eat. I gotta find one of those long crazy straws so she can drink. She now has all these neat grabbers and stuff so she can do somethings on her own. They finally replaced the cheap sling from the hospital with a really comfortable one. She finally was able to take a real shower and as everyone knows that can change your whole out look.
But Sad news today. The doctor told her she can't move the furniture in the house for a long long long time. So I'm thinking..woohoo
. my chair is gonna stay in one place for awhile...But alas she looks at me and says ..Guess you have to take over..Oh I'll protest and moan and stomp my feet
..But in the end it will be moved
...LOL
Again thanks for all the prayers and get well wishes. We appreciates it.

The good news is that you have her around to tell you what to do. I am still so amazed she came out of it as good as she did. Thanks for keeping us updated.

It's been awhile since my last update:
Belle is ready to go home. Having said that they won't let her. She is going to have a cast on both arms for awhile and it looks like her left arm is going to take 2 to 3 yrs to get back any mobility if at all. The nerves are pretty messed up. Though she told the Doc yesterday she is getting a electrical shock and burning sensation in the arm. His eyes lit up and told her that was a very very good sign.
She is so hard core on doing for herself she pretty much can care for herself with the exception of wound care and baths. Right now the wound care is the most important thing cause she's a diabetic. The nurses pretty much leave her to her self and come running if she pages them. She walks around the 3rd floor 6 to 8 times a day. I figure she is getting about a 1/4 mile in that way. She tells everyone she walks to the Capital building and back all day. She really can't start any rehab until she gets the cast's off.
Oh and she Told me the other day they were playing Wii Bowling and she said "I Own them Old Ladies"..lol
