Gun Show 8-30-08
« on: August 08, 2008, 01:57:53 PM »

Haven't been to one in a while so I fiqure I'll check this one out.  This is one of the biggest shows that comes to town at the George R. Brown.  It's a good place to see, handle and compare different types of firearms.  The prices at the shows are as cheap or cheaper as you'll find anywhere if your intrested in buying.
If your intrested in going, let me know so we can put a ride together.  I'd like to hit it early (9:00) and be gone by noon.

Gabe, check these out. Not cheap, but there's none better. I have a rig he built for my Detonics in 1984, and it's still as functional now as it was the day he stitched it together. I just tried his Silent Thunder for a month (wore it every day to work) and I'm VERY impressed with it, but if I was ordering an IWB I believe I'd get "The Answer" instead.

He's building me a "barbecue rig" for my GM now that I'll be wearing to work every day; I can't wait to get it. Everything Tucker builds is top quality. I've known Tucker since he was a cop building holsters on the side (over 20 years ago) and he's as good a guy as they come.

Hipshot is right.  Tucker's reputation is second to none.  Read the reviews on "The Answer."

If you're interested in one of Tucker's holsters, his shop is 994 yards from my office (no, the location is not on the website). I deal directly with him, not with the guy who owns that website. He's been out of town all week but he should be back tomorrow. I can find out if he has a mold for your Beagle; I'm sure he does. Let me know if you're interested -- I have to stop by there Monday anyway.

He has the standard Beagle mold. Is yours the compact or the standard?

Mike, let me know if you're going when you know for sure. I haven't been to one in years, they don't have these in Canada!
But I'll have to drive out and meet up with you. Tins are with the painter so I won't be riding for at least 3 more weeks.
