NC DEFLECTOR ( decisions - decisions )
« on: August 04, 2008, 11:46:19 AM »

I have been going back and forth for some time now on deciding whether or not to purchase this windshield. I am typically not a windshield person and really don't think the big windshields look good on a "C" model. No offense to those who have them, just my taste. I actually bought a MS Pop Top, rode with it a few hours then took it off and sold it. I know it won't offer full protection but just looking for something to take off a little bit of wind while maintaining the sporty look. I have seen ( in pictures ) 1300C's with the deflector and they actually sporty. I guess what I am getting at is. Is there anyone close ( within 50 miles ) to Pearland that has this on a "C"? And if so would you mind me riding over and looking at in in person?

Thanks,
Steve

I cannot recall right now what the style of windshield is that is on my 1300C...but I'm pretty sure it is a MS, but not a Pop Top.  I can find out tonight when I get home.  I agree with you,  I do not like the look of the big winshields so I have a small one...I live in the Deer Park area.  Wouldn't mind meeting up somewhere so you can see what mine looks like. PM me if you are interested.

OK, just got home and looked...it is a MS Demon.

Have a National Cycle Switchblade chopped windshield on my bike and is very lowstream and I think it looks good on the bike. Here is a pic of it on the bike!!

I went with a bat wing fairing, and love it.....

Had some buddies of mine make the brakets and used the same paint code from honda to match my bike....mounts on switchblade mounts for quick release when swapping to a deflector or shorty...

I've got the Deflector and Shorty windshields, but I almost exclusively ride with the Deflector.  I have my mounting kit lower than what the instructions call for.  I did this because I wanted to bridge the gap between the bottom of the windshield and the top of the headlight.  I made sure I could go lock-to-lock with the handlebars without denting the tank.

I'm in Magnolia, which is roughly 60 miles away...but you're more than welcome to come take a look at it.  Just send me a PM if you want to come up, and I'll give you my address.  Or maybe we can meet somewhere in between...a mini roadtrip!  :)

Don't know if this helps you , but here are some pictures!  O0

Just copy the URL (address) of your picture, then come back here and while typing (or editing) your reply, click the icon right above the winking smiley (looks like it has a picture on it).  This will put the IMG tags in your reply automatically, and then you just paste (CTRL + V) the URL of your picture in between those to IMG tags...click Preview to check it...then click Post.  Your links above are small pictures.  Go back to your Photobucket account and try to copy the URL of a larger version of each of those pictures.

Good luck...and may the force be with you!  O0
