it takes someone who's competent but has never done it before maybe 2 hours TOPS to do...someone who's good at it can do it in probably 30-45 minutes.

If you've ever pulled your back tire, it's not much more complicated than that.  ONce the tire is off, you remove the left side shock, the 4 bolts that secure the drive to the swing arm, and pull it off.  Take off the drive shaft, re-moly the shaft, put the shaft into the new drive, reinstall the drive...ya gotta wiggle it a bit... re-torque the bolts, put the shock back on, put the tire back on... viola.

About 30 minutes if you know what you're doing Hick. I saw it done to both bikes in about 40 minutes once.

 I have changed one out in about 1 hour!! Real easy!! A simple ONE, TWO, Three step!!  8)

i swapped my drive with stever here at the house in about 45 minutes. i made a couple of stands at work to do this. the biggest "attraction" is the gain in torque for the 1300's. with the smaller cc's and taller gears they tend to not be as peppy of the line. when stever went for his test ride with the 1800 drive he actually pulled the front tire off the ground and was not expecting it, should'a seen his face.
