T-Bird and I were talking about going to get our CHL soon.  Would anyone else in the DFW area be interested in joining us when we do?  There is a place that will allow a group to come in together for the class if you are interested.

I've been thinking about it too.  Outdoor world at grapevine mills has a $25 discount if you register 4 or more together.

All included, guns, ammo and everything.

Interesting that the week after the ruling the REAL facts about all the gun related deaths in this country comes out.  55% are suicides.  :o

So?  I bet that nearly 100% of the deaths caused by Tylenol are suicide.  I bet a significant percentage of the deaths caused by razor blades too.  Is there a point?

yeah, I read the report..  people are more successful killing themselves with guns.  I fail to find the ability to think that we're better off protecting suiciders from themselves at the cost of reducing the security of the rational pillars of society...the everyman.

I'll look into the class a tad closer and get back to y'all about it.

??? I need a decoder ring on this one.  Did you read the report before it became public knowledge and a news item?  Or did you really believe the anti-gun lobby and their butt boy media told the truth about the "gun death epidemic?"  The point is the irony of the report being "released" a week after the court's ruling that gun ownership is an individual right.

I don't think it will get cut off. This is the means by which the government is recording who will (more than likely) have guns. I was told by a gun smith when I bought a pistol, that he was not required to send any info to anyone other than the gun info. The gun is registered, but not to a particular person.  In other words, they know where the gun was bought and what it is, but not who bought it. By getting the CHL they know who is more than likely packing. If the gunsmith gets audited, then they get the info on who got what.

Plus, they want us armed so we can kill all the sleeping cells of terrorist they have let in the country.
