thoughts on inspection stickers....
«

My 2006 1300 has never had an inspection sticker....I bought the bike from a local
officer who said the plastic inspection sticker plate broke off or stolen, and he
just never got it reinspected because as an officer he said cops don't really look
at or for a sticker on a bike because half the time they are under the fender,
on the drive shaft cover, or who knows where...
So, I haven't never got inspected either and have had no problems...
I guess if I ever get asked, I can walk around the
back of the bike and play dumb...
just something to talk about...

Well, just don't cry when you end up paying a ticket for not having a valid inspection, LOL.
The motorcycle cop that pulled me over in Temple Monday past checked mine, even mentioned that it was almost due... I think he was just trying to bolster the coffers in Temple, though,

My son almost got a ticket while his bike was
parked
outside his work. The office happen to mention it to his manager that he was thinking about giving a bike in the parking lot a ticket. It had a valid inspection the plate had jut gotten caught up under the tire and came off. He bought a new plate the next day.
You also have to know that if you get pulled over for something else say heavy throttle
or something whne an officer was considering giving you a warning and notices no inspection you may get a ticket.

My neighbor (who happens to be a Dallas cop) was riding her VTX 1300 through Wylie one day and a Wylie cop started tailgating her... He moved over to the left lane and pulled up beside & slightly behind, then he dropped back, crossed over to the right lane and did the same thing, then went back to tailgating her... Finally she just pulled over (he never lit her up). He pulled over with her and she wants to know WTF... He said he was just trying to find her inspection sticker... She had it stuck inside the side cover. So apparently they do look for them sometimes... ya just never know...

The law is the law. I think it only cost $17. Pay up and do the right thing! How would you like to be hit by a vehicle that had not been inspected?

Ok, ok, ok, I'll get it inspected...
I was just trying to keep it "all original" a little longer...

and if you have a domestic auto expert station near you go online and see if they still have the $5 off coupon for state inspection
and this makes it even cheaper
That's what a gallon and a half of gas or 45 miles
