For a man suffering just a touch of bad Karma, It seems to be mostly coming up roses for you. Even though you had a flat, you made a friend in the process. The ticket, at least you didn't crash pulling over to sign for it, I take it that was a close thing.
Its like a old nursery rime I taught my kids.
Hickory dickory dock
Three mice ran up the clock
The clock struck one- and
The other two escaped with minor injuries.

Snake,

What  brand and size was it.  Check out the Metzler sight:  http://getmetzeler.com/honda/New_Claim.asp  if it qualifies you can get a front tire for only $25 shipping.  That's how I got mine and there are still 30 something left.

It's worth looking into.

Tom, thanks. Yeah, it wasn't a good day, but, as you pointed out, things are not too bad. ;D I mainly caused it all myself by speeding, not checking out well enough the "landing area" so I could recieve the ticket, and the tire had a little leak, already known to me. I guess, evidently, it didn't want to be a "slow leak" anymore, and wanted to grow up! I aired it up before leaving, and only checked it once, in Corsicana. It had lost about 4 PSI in the first 225 miles, so I figured (wrongly), it would still be above 35 PSI after the second 225. I blame no one but myself for the misfortune, I guess thats just how I rolled that day, lol, and it wasn't too good. ;D I learned long ago to take responsibility for my own screw ups... they're about the only ones I might have been able to change or do something about.

Ever ordered a badly needed OEM part from them? Don't, it travels around the world before coming to you. Best to order OEM from your local dealer unless you aren't in a hurry.
I remember now, it was the when I snapped the fill cap on the rear hub. Your dealer has them in stock and there is a reason why they do. Some of you know what I mean.  :(

I always take advantage of HDL'S sales. Stock pile stuff that I know I will need. Even a set of tires. Started doing that after Rita when I hit a board with nails in it and punctured both new tires.  :'( I passed on this sale. Wednesday a guy at work noticed threads shining through in the center of my rear tire. Guess I have not been paying close enough attention to it.  Anyway, for the first time, I'm going to let the dealer remove my rear wheel and change my tire and I'm scared to death that they are going to screw something up.
Maybe HDL will have another sale on the 4th and I'll get me another spare. This was a Bridgstone and I watched the tire pressure real close. Kept it on 40 psi. Only got 8,000 miles out of it. Seems like I have gotten more from metz and avon. I'll have to check my records to be sure.

I remember now, it was the when I snapped the fill cap on the rear hub.

I was trying to forget...
Two days before leaving for the Lone Star Rally I decided to do a little maintenance. Snapped the fill cap. Dallas, Tyler and anywhere within a 250 mile radius didn't have one in stock. I talked a local PowerSports store in Ennis into overnighting one and paid dearly for it. Then Fed-X was late...
