So....I am not completely clear on what happened to you Snake...you had a blow out and you got a broke toe and bunged up knee when that happened? You said you didn't go all the way down...but how did you do the damage to yourself?  And the bike is ok except for the tire?

No damage except to the tire in regards to the blowout...a little puckerin' goin' on, lol. The cop pulled me over in 4 lanes each way heavy traffic in Temple. He was riding a sport bike of some type, I think it was a BMW. The roadside had the wake up cupping, but also a couple of inches drop with loose gravel. I pulled onto this thinking it was solid shoulder, and ended up all the way in the roadside ditch at about thirty. Had to use the left foot once or twice to keep from going down. Thats what happened to the knee and toe. I just got over too soon without checking the shoulder out. The traffic was THICK. Thats my only excuse for making the dumb move. The cop was amazed I managed to keep it up and ride back up to the shoulder and stop. He prolly thought me a dolt for pulling out of traffic that quick without checking out the shoulder, too, lol. Dumb move. Less than catastrophic results though. ;D

Glad you're ok too. Well besides the knee and de soto. Before you explained, after reading about the camp site, I had you pegged for stumbling out of your tent in the middle of the night and tripping over Hookem.   :D

You know, during the Sprang Thang, Hooter, Pete and I went to eat. Well, they got lost and while I was waiting for them to get caught up again I was talking to a cop on BMW at the intersection of HWY 35 and Central. Found out later the Hooter and Pete were at the same intersection. Only, I was in Belton and they were in Temple. Who would of thunk it. Anyway, this cop loved his bike and couldn't tell me enough about how fast it was. He had gotten it up to 120 before.  ::) He said he loved for people to run from him so he could open it up. This guy looked sort of looked like Sergeant Stever. Shame he wrote you a ticket when all you were doing was riding with the flow of traffic.

Oh, if Pete and Hooter try to turn my story around, don't believe them.  ;D
