How many miles did you travel?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Around trip from BBTV.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Swampfox post                                                                                                                                     750 miles   8)                                                                                                                                                                               from houston in the heat in july 1025 miles one way to the Colorado

                                I think I'll sell my 1300c and fly home  ;D :-X

My longest trip, so far in one day 800+ something, Amarillo to West Lake La, Right after Rita. I learned that the skills of a west Texas lumber jack, are a bit lacking.
To tell truth, a strong back, and a weak mind. was enough to get me more than I could deal with. Grandpa worked me like a hebrew slave. then when the neighbor, was done with me, I was having a well deserved beer at the ruined park, when a old man collecting beer cans recruited my help. I had to refuse to cut a tree laying on his house, I lack the skill. Then his wife, ripped my Cranberries for dragging broken limbs  from his back yard, and knocking over her yard full of little ceramic orniments. She screemed and cussed at me through the intire process. I thought I had made a true enemy of a 80 year old woman. When I fired up the bike, she brought me a cold beer. I truly needed it at that point.
3 days later I left the land of blue canvis roofs. I came back to a world where such a wind is no big deal. Our trees are far smaller, A Tornado may strip every leaf and branch. Yet  seldom does a tree fall. We could have run our power plant for a year on the wood I saw in the ditches, down south .
One thing that my travles on my bike has taught me, Nature rules in its own place in its own time. A mere man in the right place with the right equipment could make a fortune, and still help, without ripping off aneyone.
My longest trip has led to a long hard look at the way my country deals with disaster. I do not have a clear view yet but a team  could make a lot of money without ripping off the ones who need help.
This is just a thought.
