Does anyone out there have the 205/60 on there 1800R?
Haven't had a chance to put mine on yet and didn't want to run into any road blocks when i install.

Have one on mine.  No trouble with it.  Had to let the air out when putting it on the bike.  I am on my second one.  Got 25000 miles on the first one. Could have made it to 30000.  I am running the Goodyear triple tread

What Potenza did you get?  I couldn't find the RE-01R in 60.

ok its on now. just got it put on at BikersBay in Bedford. They told me this was the last one they would install.
it is very different controlling it. seems easier turning left than right.
Had to let some air out. down to 40 lbs.  handles a little better. there will be a breaking in period i'm sure.
if anyone has the 205/60/16 on their VTX let me know if it gets easier to steer otherwise i'll have to got back to a dunlop.

Cheers.

basically it depends on your experience of riding on how long it will take to get use to it.
I've been on all sorts of bike for 20+ years
Countersteering was a little getting use to but I now have about 2k on mine and I am aware that it is on there
but don't feel it anymore.  Justs takes some time, I was use to it probably after 200 miles or less
I have an easier time turning right though.

It is easier to turn at higher speeds, but at lower speeds you really need to concentrate just my .02 since the tire wants to stay flat.
Watch out for the crown in the road too since that takes some time getting use to also

"Last one they would install"....Why?  Was it difficult for them?  Don't they get paid by the hour?

Put some miles on it.  It just gets easier and easier... but I can't speak to your specific tire... do you have a picture?  I know MuffMaster for example advised me against the tire he has because the profile was "too" square in his opinion, so I went looking for the sportiest, roundest car tire I could find and I'm very very happy with it, and find it corners fare more aggressively than the stock tires, or the metzlers that were FAR better tires than the stock dunnies.

I got a 205/50 0r 55 dont remember, im in my underwear and Im goin by memory so excuse me. I got used to it almost instantly, Ive got about 13k on it so far and love it still. My soon to be Bro in law rode it yesterday wanting to see what the darkside was all about. He said he couldnt turn at all, I laughed at him syain he needs a few mor minutes, I scrape the floorboards from time to time. It is different but like they say after a few miles its nothing. good luck with the shock

I have the 205/65.  Tripletread like Muff's I believe.  I read these threads for months before I wore out the dunny and finally got mine.  Personally I think the only problem with the ct is between the ears of the rider.  I think the difference is far greater psychologically than physically.  When you counter steer your brain is doing the calculations how much push on the grip and how much throttle virtually automatically.  Let it compute.  Don't overthink it.  I took mine out on day 1 and did everything I could think of to make it misbehave.  To include a gravel road for a few miles.  For me it's no different than if you get on someone else's bike and ride.  It's different without being really better or worse.  Git after it and scuff it up a little.  You'll dig it.

thanks everyone for all the encouragement. just got it back from Ft.Worth Motorsports off of 121 in Ft.Worth. the fork seal was upside down so hopefully now my fork won't be leaking anymore.
dropped the air pressure down to about 35 and the bike is less twitchy. and like the man said my brain is relearning the feel.
according the the discount tire web site when going 65 mph i'm actually going 64 point something.
of course we all know Honda speedos are off anyway.
just wanted to thank everyone again for their good words. will take pictures when i can find the camera. i suspect one of my family members has it in their room under clothes and such. for those of us with children this can be a daily struggle.
