Sherri/Geico Insurance
« on: June 28, 2006, 06:43:01 AM »

"There was an article in the Indiana ABATE magazine this month about Geico Insurance. The company has sent out to their insureds an amendment that if you participate in a parade, sponsored ride or where the Patriot Guard members assemble to show their respects to a fallen soldier, the motorcycle is not covered while you participate. Those of you with Geico should check to see if this is on your policy."

Sherri the above statement was on the 1300 board......I wonder how true.

I'm glad I don't have Geico.  That sucks.  I hope the Patriot Guard makes some noise about this.

I lost all respect for Geico when I read an article in a bike magazine that they are known to donate radar guns to police departments.  A few years ago, I was shopping for insurance for my truck, my rate was about 800 a year.  I called Geico and they quoted my 2400 a year because I had a minor accident on my record.  When I said I was only paying 800 a year, I was told, "Well then, have a nice day".  Geico will never get my business.

I've seen those Geico ads were they say that they not only give you their quote but quotes from other insurance companies...and how great they are for doing that..

a few months ago i saw an ad from them talking about how some websites give you quotes for their insurance and that that was bad and you shouldn't trust those websites.....hold on...isn't that what you freakin guys do?!?!

dunno...i dont' use them

ride safe

Neo, she uses Progressive. Call Sue Haley (or one of her agents) at 281/364-7888.

I use Bikeline, less than 200 a year for my 03 1300, inlcudes 2k for accessories.  Never had a problem with them.

Did you actually have a claim with them? That is when you know if an Insurance Company is worth the premium you pay. They like you until then........ ::)

I just did an on-line quote with Bikeline - they were $170/year cheaper than Progressive, Geico was almost $1000 more than Progressive..... but, like VTXLady says... they are only as good as your last claim. I've had Progessive since getting the bike last year and had one claim - a car forced me off the road and the resulting accident did quite a bit of damage to a week old bike. Progressive paid off quickly, and even bought my helmet - for what I paid for it.
