Just another Noob here...
« on: June 27, 2006, 01:52:58 PM »

Greetings to the membership.. my name's Lennie and I live near Sherman, TX.

I've got the "X Bug"... made the mistake of test piloting an F model last Friday and now have my one month old Spirit 1100 up for sale.

My goal?  Sell the Spirit and purchase a new VTX1800N, spec 2 or better.

Hope I can hang around till I have my X in hand.

Thanks,

Lennie

Good choice indeed!  O0  I just purchased my 1800N Spec II about a month ago. recently installed Hard Krome Strippers and the bike looks and sounds awesome. Also installed a Memphis windshield, other items soon to be installed  ::)

Good luck with your purchase.

twistedrcpilot ...   Nice looking N

How does she ride (soft, harsh)?  Handle?

That's my next bike.

It's awsome.  It rides like a linclon.  The front shocks could be a little more responsive, and the back sould be a little shorter, but then again, my check book could be a little thicker too :D.  you get used to the weight (755lbs) and you may need to buy new shoes for better grip backing up, but other than that its great.

I looked at the spec 3 and couldn't justify the polished wheels and differential. I think you also get the chrome radiator cover.   Spec 2 had pretty much the same amount of chrome on it.  The stock pipes sound good if you rip out the baffles and bore out the tail pipe.

What do you ride now?

I purchased a new 06 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 a month ago (now for sale).  It's a very nice bike... but I made the fatal mistake of riding an X.

LOL... actually, after my test ride I sat a GW... then got them to work up some numbers:   That cooled my jets on the GW.

Maybe one day on the GW.

:D  I'm going nuts trying to sell my Spirit.  Soon as that happens I'll be riding an X.

I still seem to be chasing my tail as to which model - love the fenders on the N, like the flow of the C and in love with the techy stuff on the F.

Nonetheless, it will be one of the three - or I'll buy one and mod it to have some of each.

Thank you again for all the friendly posts!

Let me know when you've got the new X and I'll ride up.  I've got a friend in Collinsville that I need to go see anyway, haven't seen him in about 8 years.
