Silly Yes, Communist No, Dirty a bit, Government by the the people, of the people, by its very nature makes strange bed fellows. It is true  that those with money do what ever is necessary to get more money. As those with a lot of money see a threat from those with no money they find a way to shift money from those with some money, to those with none. Those with none, will soon have none again. Then the cycle starts over.
If there was such a thing as a system of government, that really worked, as communism is claimed to work, they would rule the world.
As it is, communist, amount to a group of petty dictators, who live a life, of waiting for their people to revolt.
Our leaders face the same event at every election. Thank the founding fathers for no lasting group, of those in rule.
We Americans are a hard group to govern, We pack guns, We will, and have said no, to those in charge, and found new leaders, sometimes  with out revolution. The one attempted long ago, I think, taught, that it can, and will come apart, if some lines are crossed.
I don't mind paying taxes to feed children, build roads, or fight our enemies.
I have gone, and sent my children to fight our wars.
Yes, this country is far from what the founding fathers envisioned, but it is as close as we have come to what they had in mind.
Our job is to see to it, that our children are ready to face challenges that we were not able to dream of.
Invest wisely.  A six pack of cheep beer, and a jelly dough nut, may not be enough.

 I think,sadly, they have made the discovery. From a silly $600 rebate to promised universal health care. Bailing out banks that made sleazy mortgage loans (didn't we go throught that with the S&L failures in the 80"s) to bailing out the buyers that signed those loans. So I'm taking MY $600 and spending it in the arena of drunken debauchery called Sturgis.S.D........... as a protest. Got any extra jelly do-nuts?
