Light Bar
« on: April 17, 2008, 07:07:16 AM »

I am now looking to add a light bar to my 1300R soon if Uncle Sam rebates me what I hope.  Had to barter with the wife    "Any recommendations I can research"

Thanks William

I just got a cobra lightbar for my 1800. You need to be careful if you have a windshield. I found out the lightbar would not work with my windsield. So now, I have to switch out the windshield or forego the lightbar. Good luck.

Hey Larry,

Had to miss, Eric had a game at S/K so my priorities lay there.  I did find a deal on a light bar for $284.00, Honda Line, so; I do not have to worry about the windshield issue.  Still waiting to make sure Unc. Sam shows me the money.   www.ronayers.com is the site referred to me.

Added a light bar for less than $35 bucks. Wal Mart has a set of small chrome spots for $15.47
added those to my turn signal stems by using 1 inch conduit hangers some washers. Ran the wiring to battery direct as those lights are 50 watts each. Put in the fuse of course. Really bright lights.

thanks,

just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there.

Went to ronayers.com and ordered a Honda Line for the X $284 and change plus free shipping.  Best deal I could find.  Figured go with Honda since I will not have windshield issues.
I should receive it Wednesday.

I had to do a little mods on my Crobra to fit with the Memphis Shade.  But happy with it.

My light bar arrived yesterday and a neighbor and I began installing about 8:00PM.  A few hitches along the way but stopped about 10:15.  I will finish tonight, Just need to attach the grounds and re install the headlight.  The one thing I did have to do is use some 3/8 washers to make the turn signals a little tighter.

I am looking to do this also.  The bike has a Honda Line windshield and it looks like it will be hard to find one that will work with it.  This came with the bike when I bought it, so I am not too attached to it.  However, I do not want to change it if I do not have to.

Does anyone have a 1800c with a Honda Line windshield that has also added a light bar.

Thanks for any info you  can give me.

just go with the honda line L-bar, you shouldn't have any problems.  I did find taking the windshield off made the install easier.  make sure you get the one for the C it is different from the R&S.
