Where's the warning about school zones and 1800's?
« on: March 25, 2008, 01:56:30 PM »

I looked through the owner's manual and couldn't find anything on school zones. (how many points are kids these days? :)) Found out that I'm not supposed to ride with my helmet attached to the helmet lock. Found out how to wash it. How to check the air pressure in the tires. What do do if I crash. (Don't call wifey until ambulance arrives.  ::) Make sure nurse puts up "NO VISITORS" sign until she cools off. >:() But nothing on school zones.

I usually don't ride through school zones but today I was out and got caught by the one right by the apartment.  Hey, no problemo, I'll just shift down to second and ease through it. Chug chug clunk clunk. (you get the idea.) Damm, let's try first. Chug chug clunk clunk.  >:( Doesn't take too long for the solution to hit me. Run it up to 60 and coast through in stealth mode. Nah, might hit a kid that's too busy talking on his cell phone to look both ways. Besides, there aint no stealth mode on this bike.  :) How about 25 then? Yeah, that doable. Nearly, I say, nearly made all the way through on one coast. (Caught the damm traffic light and had to stop.)

Still having a blast. PEBHAS  ;D

I don't care what other people think. They don't do it very often!
Of Course it's dirty. It's hard to clean when the tires keep moving.

If you don't love what you're doing, then don't do it.
Your chances of success are directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do.
