Who fixes wheel dings?
« on: February 16, 2008, 07:06:52 PM »

Hey gang,

You know those little dents you get in your wheel when you hit a pothole just the wrong way...
Anyone know of a place in Texas that fixes wheel dings? The guys at Stubbs Cycle here in Houston thought there was a company in Dallas?

Thanks,

LW

LOL, cute  ::)  Yeah they are easier to miss here in Texas. They'll swallow you whole back up North, wouldn't ya say MB!?

Nah Chad, bought sight unseen and he forgot to tell me of the small dent in the front wheel. I assume from hitting a pothole with low tire pressure in a previous tire. This one's new. Everything else seems tight. But it's going to Stubbs Cycle this week for it's State inspection and have them give it a proper look'n over.

Yeah, something about taking a multi ton vehicle with a big blade on it and scraping every road several times a month all winter long seems to be BAD for pavement for some odd reason.  LOL

Hey Lone_Wolfe on another subject.... sissybar! I called Sumo-x and asked them about the sissybar they make now and told me that if you had not bought the kit from them in the last 5 months it would not work on the struts that are on the bike now! Sooooooo you have to send them your old struts and they will send you ones free of charge that will work on the sissybar for the Sumo-X!! Hmmmmm  Have a good friend that is a machine shop expert and will have to pick his brain some on this subject. Good luck and will keep posted.  8)

Hmmm.... And I spent Monday browsing through Houston's online Yellowpages looking for a millwright I might call about making a custom sissybar set up.   :)  Also found an online company that makes bushings. I'd like to use as spacers to keep the Sumo rails from getting scratched by the sissybar mounts.  I'll keep ya posted  O0
