Plenty of battery. Kill switch off. Key on. Push button. Turned over a couple of times, then nothing more than an audible click.

Starter motor maybe?

When you say plenty of battery you mean it checks out at 12-13 volts? A buddy went through the same thing recently, battery shows full voltage but when you hit the start switch, just a few clicks. Turned out he had a bad cell in the battery. If you have a voltmeter, connect it to the battery and watch the voltage drop while trying to start the bike, you'll know right away if it's a bad cell or not. If the voltage stays above 9.5-10 volts for about 4-5 seconds your battery is good. If the battery checks out I'd check your starter switch next, they are notorious for getting dirty and not making good contact. Keep us posted

Ditto on the switch. I think Hipshot posted one time about the switch wearing and the contacts would actually slide past the contact points.

Ok. Thanks Crewsn for the voltmeter idea. The battery checked out ok so I decided to check out the starter relay switch, (under the left side cover). I had plenty of power coming in but none going to the starter. So I think that I have a bad starter relay switch.

I took the starter button off and checked and cleaned the contacts first thing when it wouldn't start. Had one go bad less than a year after I had the bike.

Can't hear anything but a click. I could feel it click when I checking the starter relay with the voltmeter.

Mike, I found my part.  It is part number 38301-KK9-952 and is a turn signal relay.  I thought it was a starter relay, my bad.  The Starter relay part # is 38501-GN2-014.

My experience with OEM parts is that you are better off getting them from a local dealer. You may have to pay a little more but you don't have to wait two weeks for it either. HDL orders it, it goes to them and then is shipped to you. Your local dealer can get it on a two day delivery.

Can't hear anything but a click. I could feel it click when I checking the starter relay with the voltmeter.

I had the exact same problem. Turned out to be the starter relay.

If the relay is 'clicking' when you hit the starter button and you have power coming in and none going out.....it is the relay.

Well the relay came in.

DO NOT be fooled by what the service manual calls the starter relay switch! The part behind the left side cover that looks like a solenoid is actually, (technically), called the magnetic starter switch. AND, there are two starter relays, (located behind the right side cover).

Too nice of a weekend to spend another week waiting on parts. Got another relay and the starter switch being overnighted, just to be sure.
