Just a heads up to all new BBT attendees, usually over 50 to 70 of us are there thursday, before the BBT, and we all go to eat together thursday night, so plan on coming early on thursday if you can.

This will be my first Texas X-Riders Rally  :)  And I'm just wondering since this is the Memorial Day Weekend and Monday is the observed day off from work for Memorial Day, do people stay through Sunday night and head home Monday?

I plan on taking off Friday from work for a 4 day weekend. Not sure if I'll head out Thursday evening or Friday morning? I guess it depends on group ride or activity happening on Sunday? Or does everyone head home on Sunday?

Thanks,

LW

Good question. Before now, we've stayed at a private campground in which we had to rent exclusively for the Rally, thus we had to leave by noon Sunday. This year could be different. If Monday is Memorial Day, I'll be staying another day.

I think there's a group of riders heading out to New Mexico Sunday after the Rally.

This is a Municipal owned campground. The Rally fee pays for Friday and Saturday nights only. If you contact the Park Director while you're there, I'm sure they will allow you to continue to stay at the regular daily rate. This is something that you need to work out with them.

Well, see, this is coming totally out of the blue. Up to now I had understood we were all paying our own nights at the campground. If ya'll have set up something else, why don't you let the rest of us know at least some of it, if not all of it. >:( >:(

From what I remember, there has been a fee that we paid that took care of the 2 nights lodging/camping expenses and the dinner on Sat. night.

If something different has been planned, it would be nice if we all knew it.  I am assuming and planning that we will pay the fee, have the 2 nights paid for by that fee, and that the dinner on Sat. night will be provided.

Perhaps our Pres. can fill in the gaps here?
