Dash Display Not Working
« on: January 31, 2008, 05:36:45 PM »

My dash display on  my 1300 is not displaying the usual information.  The connections seem good and no fuses blown.  I may have take the tank off to get a good look at the connectors.

Anyone had this issue?

Did it work when you picked it up from the valve job?  Might have knocked something loose?

I've had this problem twice.  two things to look at

First time I had to disconnect and reconnect the two connections under the tank on the left side.

Second time there were wires crossed under the dash.  I believe this one was linked to the trip toggle.  Trip kept reseting it's self and cycleing through the modes. Anyway, I straightened the connectors it works fine now.

Mine did the same thing.  Battery died a few weeks after it started.  Left me on the hwy.  Had to get towed.

Finally got it figured out with the help of the Honda shop.  There was a short in one of the connectors under the tank.  I was going to cut the wires and replace with male/female connectors, but the tech at the Honda shop suggested trying a zip tie around it and it worked.
