So I am looking to get a new rear tire and thanks to Hooter
Southwest moto tires seems to be the cheapest out there.

My question is I want to upsze and when I searched for 200/60 tires my search came up with 4 tires
1 is the Metz ME880 and 1 also for the Dunlop D251
I also see a Bridgestone BT020 and Avon Cobra
The bridgestone is 139.95, does anyone have any experience with this tire and can it be used on the VTX?

Bridgestone BT020 200/60VR-16 TL VN2000 Rear    $139.95
Metzeler ME880 200/60Vr-16 Rear    $171.95
Avon Cobra 200/60-16    $185.95
Dunlop D251 200/60R16 VN2000    $157.95

Before goig to the dark side i ran the Bridgestone Battleaxe and liked it fine. I think it is the longest wearing tire of the group and it has a very good high speed rating.

The Bridgestone Battleax is what I have run since the stocks. I think it rides great. And yes it is a 200/60-16. Just put a new one on last Saturday.

what are you running on the front since I need to replace it also
does anyone know if it will make a big difference if it is not the same series?
I know not to mix Radial and ply but as long as they are the same does it matter?
I found these

310300 Dunlop K177 130/70HB-18 Front $112.95

Check with Ed. I don't think his front tire is stock. He was talking about it when we went Fayetteville.

Bridgestone G851 130/70ZR-18 is the one I have on the front. I get about 10 - 11,000 out of the rear, and about 15 - 16,000 out of the front. Did not get as much out of the rear last time, but I think the dyno took a few miles off of it.

Just don't forget to solder the accelerator wire.  ;)  The one thing I like about the battleax is that the tread goes from one side to the other, so I know when I run out of tread in the middle it is time to replace. Some of the others there is no tread in the middle and you could get to the cord before you know it.  O0

I wonder why you know that :D ;D ;D

Just opened it and plugged a batery in and looked up the map.
Going to down load some maps and bring the laptop home to fool around with it this weekend.
Man nothing to this thing just wish I had a dyno machine to do it myself now ???

109 will work with the 02 through 04. The 122 will actually work with all the years for the 1800C, just hooks up to the injectors instead of the computer.

Danny,
glad you just mentioned the part numbers, the weirdest thing
the box shows part number 122-411
looking at the PCIII on the bottom side it has a sticker that says in big font 122-410 and below that in smaller font For:122-411

on the back side with the serial number it has the part number 122-411.

I guess I will PM Johnny Cheese and see if this is still compatible.

I know PCIII says to use 109-411, but Johnny stated I could use 122-411 and PCIII doesn't want to let the cat out of the bag that the 122-411 is compatible since they want to sell off all their old stock of the 109-411.
122-411 is plug and play and I think the 109-411 you have is splice and dice and I didn't want to deal with that.

Hey RedDragon (David right?)
Can you tell me if yours says and looks the same
I know the pictures suck, but hopefully they help?
thanks
