forward controls

Looking for some forward controls...need feed back from you guys...what do you have? what are the best? wheres the best place to get them...etc. please help ( was wanting to get rid of that ugly rear res.) 8)

I have the mapam forward controls, they don't get rid of the rear resi though. They are comfortable and I have no complaints. They are polished and not chrome so I have to hit them with the powerball every couple of months but it's no big deal...

I have Jardine forward controls, they are chrome and no complaints.

This is what I did and someothers have done it also. It is a lot sheeper than buying a whole new setup and will do the same thing. Takes about 30 min. to install and works great.

I'd say it depends on your inseam...Jardine's are great for me..5' 10" with a 30" inseam no fatigue and they look good..chrome. But you have to justify $600.00. just my 2cents

Thats a damn good point. I'm 6'3", 250lbs. The Mapams helped (4" stretch) but on these little bikes, if you are tall, nothing really stretches you out. Hell, even on CouldBFaster's 1800 Neo, the controls are still too close for me.Just pick your controls and buy or fab some highway pegs.

The L&R Extreme Forward Controls have two options. One will move the controls forward 3 1/2 inches and the other moves them forward 5 inches, but they also move them up 1 1/2 inch. The cost isn't too bad either. I've considered them because I drag my pegs so much. They only have them for the 1800 C&R models.

Good Choice!  I bought my 2006 VTX with 1000 miles, when I bought the Jardine Forward Controls they also matched my grips perfectly.

I contacted a seller for the Jardines and they said they didn;t affect the rear res.,.......I want it GONE!!  Can anyone help??
