Look at the breakdown on how much it/you pay out of pocket overall. Some of those plans are just savings plans and you have to pay the entire contracted rate at the time of service to recieve the insurance discount. Plus it being a hospital only plan usually mean it is for inpatient services, that would not cover the emergency room or any type of testing. So you are paying out of pocket per month on something you may or may not use at all. Of course aren't most that pay through their jobs as well.
