Did the Pair Valve Removal Today
« on: January 12, 2008, 02:24:48 PM »

Also installed the compact Stebel horn, it is loud enough for sure.  While I had it all apart, I decided to do the pair valve/desmog.  Wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and I got the plates from Biglry and Bones.  A little more expensive, but made the job easier.

I am still getting some minor decel popping when the speed drops from a high speed to a low range.  Not too happy about that, I was hoping the work and expense would eliminate it all. I didn't ride far, it could be the bike was not warmed up, but I was too tired to ride far and left the wallet at home.

Next project is to get the carb adjustment and the valves checked, if the popping doesn't stop, maybe the carb will help.

Just took another look and found a house that was left loose that wasn't mentioned in the instructions, maybe this will fix it.
