If you guys are not aware of it you can get a free Metzeler ME880 front tire for the 1800 VTX and Select Valkyrie models as well. All you have to do is buy a rear tire (Grifs has the best price right now) and then send in the reciept and pay $20 for shipping and you get a free front tire in about a week. The promotion just hasnt been advertised very well but is still going on, I got my tire yesterday. Check out www.getmetzeler.com , its not a scam, and I even got a call from a pirelli rep giving me a ups tracking number when it shipped. I have to say these tires make my bike feel soooooo smooth.

Sadly, I don't believe that the ME880 for the rear of a C model is eligible....bastages.  Doens't matter, i'm going dark side anyway.  LOL

Thanks bunches for the reminder.  I had forgotten about the promotion and bought a new set from Gtown Honda.  At least now I'll get a spare front for the $25.  My claim form says that there are 107 fronts left.  Happy Holidays.

I got mine a month or two ago, but here are the eligible sizes.  I put the front on and it made a nice difference, I am waiting for a Burn-out contest to kick Cranberries in before I replace the rear with the new 200.

My front is an 18 not 17
You may want to check your free tire to see if it fits?

So it looks like there are 85 of these freebees left and my local dealer has the rear on for $156.24.

Can any one advise how fast they are going?  I have tread left and not fluid enough to jump on this if I'm having to buy a whole set.

When I started the post there were 115 left in December. I started watching the numbers in November and they only went down 20 in one month. The offer has not been well publicized i guess.

Great I was kinda hoping they were moving slow. . . I have to talk my sweet bride out of the money - God knows I've put her through many financial strains and they are never at the right time.  I caught a nail in the rear tire and on close inspection noticed I was close to the wear bar.  it's gonna cost me $75 just to patch the tire.

Ok still 85 on hand at Metzler.  Problem is my dealer only has one rear on hand.  I'm going to ease over and try to pick it up next weekend.  If it's till there it's meant to be.  If not as the song goes Chee Sarah Sarah. . . I leave it up to the Angel of road grip to take care of me. . .
