 8) Dusty Bill Drink Recipe  8)

Ingredients  My Bar

2 tsp Lemon Juice  Add It
1 tsp Brandy  Add It
1/2 oz Apple Brandy  Add It
1 1/2 oz Canadian Whiskey  Add It
1/2 tsp Superfine Sugar  Add It

Directions
Combine whisky, Applejack brandy, brandy, lemon juice and sugar in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, and strain into an old-fashioned glass almost filled with ice cubes. Garnish with a maraschino cherry, and serve.

The cherry is optional. Hell, if it's good whiskey, everything is optional.  ;D

OK, I'm feeling a little guilty. That's not my recipe. Matter of fact, I have never had one.
Out of boredom, I thought I would do a search on DustyBill to see how much dirty laundry would show up. Turns out, that there are a few Dustybill's out there and one of them has a drink named after him. Or invented it, who knows? Guess I should have paid more attention.
Anyway, if you try it, let me know how it works.  ::)

Now ain't this justa fine Howdie-do for ya.  :(  Here I was yesterday morning reading about this "Dusty Bill's Engine Warmer" and thinking how good it sounds. Here's visions in my head of a family recipe thing that was passed from generation to generation from Great-Great-Great Grand Pappy Dusty from his bar tending days when he opened Dusty's Bar and Grill at Plymouth Rock. I know it had to be good cause because if it weren't you wouldn't have posted it to the board. I thought "man I can't wait till the Liquor store opened" so I could go buy the brandy's needed and try one of your concoction's. Well I didn't make it yesterday and was all hot to trot this morning to go to town when I read your latest post. I can't believe you led us on like that and now my day is now shot and ruined.   :( :(
Thanks, your used to be friend,
Al

 ;D ;D ;D ;D
p.s.  Try it warm with a drop or two of honey instead of sugar and stir it up with a cinnamon stick. A good cold night belly warmer.  :D :D  O0

Good drink, Bill. Great for times like last night's rain and cold. Made some modifications as I went along, but it kept my engine warm.  O0

Pretty much, but that was later in the evening.  ;D

Actually I make another drink similar to that called a Bourbon Passover. I invented it in New Orleans. You put a double shot of Bourbon in a glass and just pass a bottle of coke over it...  O0

I got here late but I'll give it a try tonight when I get home.  Problm? maybe maybe not - the only ingredient I have is a really good Irish whisky and it's a week till payday - guess I'll go with the every thing optional deal.

That's cool having your own drink - I've got my own Theme song - Come to think of it Styx may have actually written that for another hangman.  :D :D :D

What the heck we can still claim em right? ;D

I know the feeling hangman....I get paid once a month and at the end of the month I get pretty thirsty.

Now for the concoction I came up with the other night...pay day night!  ;D

One small glass 4oz. I suppose.
1 jigger of Crown Reserve...maybe 1 1/2 jiggers

The juice of of one tangerine or just smash it up and put pulp and all in. Watch for seeds and for Pete's sake, don't use the peeling.

Two ice cubes and fill the glass with sprite. My tangerine and sprite were cold from being in the ice box. That's a refrigerator for you city folks. O0

I thought it was good at the time.  ;D

I thought if you designed a drink Everclear would be involved.
