Want to buy a set of LOUD pipes for 02 C model.  Current Cobras got dinged when bike blew over in Limon Colorado.   Strong Cranberries wind.  Not bad at all but I cant stand a ding.  What is loudest and most agressive pipe out there right now.  Dont wanta get put in jail but dont mind neighbors saying ,,,,oh %%%% there he goes again.

I biddy-modded my cobra deluxe slash-cuts (slip ons?) and really dig them now, but everytime I hear V&H big shots (I believe) especially on the 1300 I want to go out and buy them...

I run supertrapp mean mothers.  No baffles, I love the sound of them, but they are radically loud.  Been running them a couple of years without police issues.  (knock on wood).  I live in amarillo if your interested in hearing them.

I just purchased and installed in about 45 minutes a set of HK 3" Big Straights. They are by far the Loudest pipes I ever heard until you get to cruising speed, still loud after that but not enough you can't hear yourself think. 

There is also a video on YouTube but I can't post it because I am at work 

The video demonstrates what they sound like on a VTX1300. Unfortunately, it doesn't do them justice, sound quality and all. And I think they even compare the stock pipes with the HK 3".

The price on HondaDirect is $594.07 and they come with straight cut billet caps. They also come with baffles already installed. I can't imagine how loud they would be without them.

The "Con" side of the deal is they are 3" and stick out enough to heat your pant leg up in a hurry.

HK does make a 2.5" and a 2.75" pipe also.

If you decide to get these email me and I'll give you a couple of short-cuts to get them installed quicker. Also, make sure you get a couple of gaskets from Honda as the pipes are sent without them.

I have the V$H big shots straight out of the motor and they are annoyingly loud

I have the V&H BigShots also, but compared to the Cobras, they are not as loud. I love my BigShots, I would not trade for Cobras , especially on an 1800.

Cobra Drags, Remove baffles...sound great. Also sideburner sounds awesome.
