Toll Tag
« on: October 25, 2007, 01:10:27 PM »

Just got a set of toll tags for the car/truck and the bike.  On the car it is easy to see where they say to mount it.  On the bike, it just says don't mount within one inch of metal.  For anyone who has a TT on your bike, where do you put it?

When I ordered mine, they sent me the thin ones. If you have one of the thick old ones, then it will work from your pocket or saddle bag. Mine works most of the time from the windshield.

I don't mount mine.  My license plate is registered, they still bill me.  But I'd carry it in a bag if I had to, not stick it to the bike.

Hey Ken...  Just put it in your shirt or jacket pocket, sometimes I keep mine in my little pouch that I have on my little cargo rack....  As Morgan said, your tag is registered and that's all that really matters....

Every so often, I will get a ticket in the mail. I just put my number on it and send it in.

when I got mine the lady said that I did not have to have it on the bike. She said that the computer cross checks license plates to people who run the booths. If yur plate is registered in the system you will be fine. Had mine for a year and go through it twice. Never been ticketed.

I registered my bike with toll authority the day I got it coming up on 2 years ago and I've never gotten a ticket.  I've NEVER carried the tag on the bike, not once.

I put on the windshield Friday to go to Maxim Honda to pick up the prize I won, but I didn't care for it there, not exactly Bling Bling if you know what I mean.  I relocated to the tank bag, probably won't even use it more that a couple times in a year, but it beats the hassle of the toll booths.  My wife goes to see here sister in Plano a lot, she will probably use it more than me.

I never carry mine but my plates are registered to my account.  I find that I have yet to be charged while on the bike and I never trigger the alarm when I ride through sans toll tag.....

Without the tag I prob get a few free tolls, but they cannot ticket me as I am registered.
