Two illegal aliens, Ralpheal Resindez, 23, and Enrico Garza, 26, probably believed they would easily overpower home-alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two-story home.
It seems the two crooks never learned two things: they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay shooting champion since she was nine.
Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.
Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buckshot from the 11- year- old's knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals.
When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive.
It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen .45 caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. That victim, 50-year-old David Burien, was not so lucky. He died from stab wounds to the chest.
Ever wonder why good stuff never makes NBC, CBS, MSNBC, or ABC news....God I love this kid....Nice Shootin', Patricia....

Some people do the world more good if they're planted.  But it seems this story is an urban legend.  Did a bunch of google searching, and everything I come up with is "nobody can substantiate this story."

It's a good story, but it sure doesn't seem to be true.

I did a bunch of independent searching not just on Snopes, and came up with the same thing...including a search of the Butte Montana Standard.

That's OK though, the newspaper story in the Snopes article about the 11 year old boy in SC is even better - killing 2 bad guys with 3 rounds from a .22 is waaaay more impressive shooting than vaporizing them with a shotgun.

You seem to be saying that you'd rather believe in a lie.  I'm pro-gun.  If the anti-gun lobby started telling horrible lies to sensationalize their side and hoped to perpetrate them through the vehicle of urban myth and hope that people will come to believe they're true, you'd be VERY upset.  You should be equally upset about a story that puts your ideas in a good light, because the truth DOES come to light.

 It was just another silly e-mail that someone sent.
 It's just a story and I don't care if it's true or not.
 But I wish it were true. Maybe if more stories like this were
 sent out, well then maybe the rest of us would do the same
 thing when faced with simular circumstances.
 
 I think we should kill every one of those son' of bitches.
 To hell with sending them to prison, they don't deserve to live.
 
 I live in the Houston area and I see this crap every day on the news,
  I wish city goverment would have the ball's to take a stand and show
 these assholes we won't stand for it any more.

 All of those dam housing project's in Houston are nothing but incubators
 for breeding criminals.
 There are even area's where the police don't go unless they have to.
 
 I believe we are on the same page, just don't take it to heart.
