Snake, Do you think you would be able to make it out at all for any of the days?
For sure after work on Sat night through Sunday and maybe monday too. I can't pass up the OT on Fri and Sat. though, I have a habit to feed! Been a while since I've got a chance to see ya'.

It looks like it is raining in Arkansas as I write this.  Hopefully it'll move out in a day or two.

Right now I am thinking it would be nice to take another day or so and ride up into Missouri for a few.  Depending on how I feel when we get to Harrison, I may peel off & head North.  It seems a shame to be so close to MO and not take a look see.  My window of opportunity for having fun is rapidly diminishing so I need to make the most of every outting.  It may be a while before I get back to AR & MO.

This is exciting - can hardly wait until tomorrow.

Thursday, high 86 clear skies low 56 @ Little Rock.
Partly Cloudy, Friday
Sunny, Saturday
Mostly Sunny, Sunday
Scattered t-storms possible Sunday,
T-storms, Monday.
Could easily go a day later. Hard 2 pinpoint that far in advance but, experience sez good possibility of later w/no chance of earlier.

On the plus side it's rained enough this week that ya don't have 2 worry 'bout it bein' dusty.
high--low-Little Rock, middle of state, expect several degrees cooler in northern section
fri 77 56
sat 79 51
sun 81 57
mon 70 63

Harrison, population 12K, dry county, no alcohol sales
Eureka Springs, population 2k, wet county & sales include Sunday
42 miles twixt the 2.
Might just be me but, I like 2 have a cool refreshment after a kick Cranberries ride.

I'd ride 2 Eureka via Magazine Mnt. I'ts the tallest in the state @ 'bout 2700' & it's on the way.

Well it looks like we are going to do it. Leaving Houston Thurs. 10/19 afternoon and will spend Thurs. night in Shreveport. We will be coming back to Houston 10/22.

Friday - 3-29-67-51 to Hot Springs  with the rest of the time 7-314-27-270-back to Hot Springs.

Sat. - Hot Springs -7-154-123 to Harrison

Sun. - Harrison -43-21-16-23-71-28-27-88- to Mena

Mon. Mena to Houston

The above is just a rough idea of what we want to do but it looks pretty good on the map. If anyone want to join in let us know.

So far it is DAR - KEBS - Quick Silver

Any advice?

Dar.......the 19th is Friday........... :)

Guess Al Gore didn't invent the internet up in Arkansas like he did everywhere else! ;D
Last I talked to them this afternoon, the tireless trio were in Branson with Nickyd, soon to light for the night in Eureka Springs, at the motorcycle motel, or some such..
They are having a great time, and Kebs is logging incredible MPG on her Hog. HHHmmmm, maybe because hogs are at home in Arkansas? Yes?

;D   How do you know when you're staying in an Arkansas hotel? When you
call the front desk and say, "I got a leak in my sink," and the clerk
replies, "Go ahead."
I saw the Motorcycle motel there in Eureka Springs a few months, neat lookin' place.

I just got off the phone with Dave.  He and Kebs were home by 7:30 and I pulled in at 9:20.  We left Mena, Ark at 8:00 this morning.  The Honda miles for the total trip from Canyon Lake was 1897.2.

I had a wonderful welcome waiting for me tonight.  There was a full moon and clear skies with calm winds making for a great night time Hill Country ride for about the last 60 miles.  This was especially welcome because for most of the day the ride was under water so to speak. :)  It was good to be back home.

I want to thank Dave for putting this ride together; Nick for taking time out from his responsibilities to lead us up to Eureka Springs and making all the arrangements for our rooms at the Iron Horse; John for having rooms for us in Mena last night when we arrived and burning a day off from work today to take us across the Queen Wilamena State Park; and of course Kebs for that million dollar smile.

Folks it was fun and I can't wait to do this again.

I have pics and will try to get them posted in a day or so.
