beware of 'the wave'
« on: October 08, 2007, 09:06:38 PM »

On my way home from work today I was passing another motorcyclist on a Katana, I lowered my arm to wave and BAM! He went down right where I was holding out my fingers!!  :o :o  It seems he was paying too much attention to me and braked to hard (dry warm pavement, good tires) and lowsided right there!  I watched as he went down and then in my mirror I saw him tumble head over heels, jump up and run off the road.

I spun around to help and he had his helmet off (thank God he had one based on the damage to the helmet)  He was skinned bad, only had on a t-shirt and shorts and helmet.  You could see his knee cap and he was skinned bad on his arm, hands, shoulder, and leg.  I got his bike up and rode it out of the ditch for him (DEEP ditch) and his (HOT O0) girlfriend came and picked him up to take him to the hospital.

Seemed like a nice guy, and it was the wierdest thing I've ever seen.  It was like he just fell on my command, absolutely crazy.  :o

So.. beware who you wave to!!!  :o :o :o

That is bad and I'll make sure never to wave at you. You may want to consider not being friendly on the road. I'm just glad the guy is okay. I never wave going through curves or if there is a lot of traffic. Things that make you go hmmm.

You guys crack me up  ;D ;D

The guy just said he wasn't paying attention and braked too hard, but he couldn't have been going but about 40mph or so, and wasn't even doing anything 'squid-ish' other than not wearing gear.  He's a lucky bast*rd that's all I can say. he tumbled right into oncoming traffic.

Craziest cause for a bike wreck I've ever seen.  I swear it was like I commanded it and it happened.. maybe I somehow new the hot girlfriend would be coming to rescue him???  maybe...  O0 O0 (she was nine kinds of fine...)

Wish I would have had the camera... and took pics of the guy and his helmet. (and later in the evening of the girl..  O0)
