master cylinders
« on: October 02, 2007, 08:48:56 PM »

I'm not thrilled about how dull the clutch and brake cylinders look on my bars.  Does anyone know where I could get some chrome ones, or should I just get them polished?

Polishing them opens up a maintenance nightmare. Get them chromed. Or buy a new set and get them chromed. Or powdercoated. Or Ceracoated. Or not.

Are there any good places in houston that can chrome them that anyone would recommend?  How much would it cost and what precautions should I take if I do decide to get them chromed?

here ya go buddy O0     http://kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=metric&ci=3711

and these go great with them  O0   http://kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=metric&ci=3127

I found those, but looking at the picture of them it seems as if the banjos come out the front.  Mine are on the side of the cylinders.

Your right, my dumbass was looking at them from the front not from the seat.  Those L pieces go over the clamps, I thought they were supposed to cover the banjos some how.  Thanks, about to order them.

I think I'll try the covers first, my luck the chromer would mess up my cylinders and I'll have to buy the same old dull ones again.

I think the resivor covers look pretty badass. now the control covers (to me) look pretty damn cheesy :-\ I bought the chrome ones instead and just swaped out the controls. same price as the covers, just more of a Buck Rogers to install than the covers.

There is a guy that does custom jobs and can do them for you, I think he has a Texas X Riders one
I can not think of the name right now, but someone on here should know.
I was thinking about replacing mine.
