The shield is a good idea. That was my biggest concern after hearing of the failures others were having in that location. Of course, some were turning it horizontal rather than vertical as the directions tell you. Probably should put the hose on too that's provided to help keep junk out.

Justin, you dagum thread stealin' so and so...

Yeah, did my fork springs last week. Took less than an hour -- easy task (just be careful with the fork oil drips). The progressives do make a noticable difference, especially when used with the Progressive 412's -- love mine!

When is the Horn party?  My stock horn quit last week when my new flasher burned out.  All of the fuses are good, and I can't find any wiring problems.  I need to get this done so I can get an inspection sticker.....

Hey John, did you get your stebel installed?  Mine just came in yesterday.

I was thinking... I want to watch the guy inspecting the bike when you have a stebel... I'm sure they're expecting a meek little "meep" when they press the button... LMAO

Well I got 'er installed.  Plenty of room up under the tank to do it.  Lot of wires.  I wonder how it's going to handle the heat up under there...  But it's LOUD.

I'm looking for the Stebel HF 80/2.....is there a dealer for the Stebel horns in Dallas?  I have searched the Net to no avail, even shot an email off to the Stebel folks in Italy (they are probably still looking for an interpreter).

Any info would be greatly appreciated......

Not familiar with any dealers.  I got my air horn from http://www.bikerhiway.com but they don't have the 80 series horns.  I did a quickie search around and my half-hearted google fu was defeated.  I'm sure if I was really trying I'd find them.  LOL  Good luck!

Got a lead on the horns from Twisted Throttle folks.  They told me to contact Sound Engineering Consultants, their supplier.  I appreciate everyone's help and will post back with the results.

I bought the compact model from HDL during the holiday sale, wound up paying around 35.00 for it and it included the wiring kit, free shipping and no sales tax.
