Never thought of this before, but, when your battery dies and you disconnect the cables to replace it, does the PCIII return to some default settings, or does it keep the map last installed? Thanks

I have disconnected my battery a couple of times since I added the pcIII and had the bike dynoed. I haven't noticed a change in the way it ran.

They come to you pre-loaded with a map based on your mods if you wish and there's no battery connected through shipping. I think you may be okay.

I don't have a PCIII and haven't read about how it stores, but I can only assume it uses a flash to store the map so it doesn't need power to retain the settings. Basically, like a USB stick.

Yea. I had to push start it a couple of times. Then between work/weather, it sat for about 3 weeks. Pushing sucks.
