 As much as I love going to Rick's place will be on my way to the  Las Vegas Bike Fest for some good old Vegas fun  .There is always next year

When I ride long distance in the south, I usually just ask the hotel if I can park up front.  Most let me park right up front under the canopy.  I still lock the bike and put a cover on.

Maybe I am wrong but it is not th e$6.00/hour person but rather that it is in a lighted, higher traffic area, and covered up.  I've never had a problem with when I can park it overnight this way.  But then a garage is best.

It is a risk whereever the bike is parked out of your garage.  I had a friend who trailored his bike and locked it in the trailor AND locked the trailor to his vehicle.  the next morning the trailor and biker were gone.  It seems the thiefs used some sort of spray or liquid to freeze the lock from the trailor to the car and then just broke the lock.
