Anyone else do it?  Did you almost throw up when you were drilling on your bike?   :o ;D :D

Whew...it worked.

I think it is a handy thing to do, but only when you strip the bolts.
I have not yet chosen to do it, but I don't know why I would be removing the seat all the time.
I have removed it once, only to put pig tales for the battery tender.
but to all their own O0

I did it after I added my Ultimate Bigboy seat. The bolts were almost impossible to line up and get started with this seat.

One of my bolts fell out.  I could acquire a new bolt, or just do the mod....  But I switch between solo and pillion fairly often, so I have the seat off more than a lot, I suppose.

That's what made my decision for me also.  Much better off now that it's done.   O0

Those of you who leave the key in and shut it off with the killswitch need to do it so you can get to the battery to jump it after you leave the headlamp and turnsignal on for two hours....................

Kill switch...  that's the orange thing on the right side that you occasionally hit at traffic lights causing you to sit and crank your motorcycle like an idiot in traffic for what seems like an hour, then you push the bike off to the side of the road and eventually you notice this thing looks odd, because it's in a totally different position than you're used to seeing, so you toggle it back and your bike starts like some miracle?  That thing?  It has a use other than "making you look like an idiot in traffic"?

You can, but if you ask, a good downhill or three guys or so is needed. :-[ Had to do it once...wore out three friends, but got it started. :o ;D Mine was cause of the starter button though, not the key left on! Got smart the second time and just arced the solenoid. :-[ ;D

My father and I did it one day, I had been running my mouth all weekend about how much better my VTX was than his royalstar...  and then I left my key on...  of course I had to remove my foot from my mouth and head from butt before we got it done, but it really wasn't too bad (when you have no other choice), started it in 2nd gear...
