Benefit Ride for Flower Mound motor officer Kevin Schmidt - Sat. Sep 8

We need lots of X's there...  Anybody want to meet up at Dukes 8:30 to 9 and ride in together?  It's basically just across the freeway from there to Texas Harley Davidson.

Hey Crow, is this the same benefit that was done last year for the same police officer??  I'm thinking that we rode this benefit last year but not totally sure...

I agree with Crow let's do this one on Saturday and the group ride on Sunday.

I emailed the address on the flyer and asked about route and length, they just replied back with the same info on the flyer... It's a mystery.

It's probably gonna be one of those police escorted runs that are all freeway and relatively short.  :'( :'(  But that's OK, its not about the route anyway...  O0 O0

No, the officer last year was name Hodges. I rode in that one.

No, the officer last year was name Hodges. I rode in that one.

Yep, this guy got run over I think.... Hodges had cancer IIRC.

Ohh.... That's right... :-\ :-\  I'm gonna try to be there for the benefit... Chances are I won't make it, but I'm in on Sundays ride fo sho....

Got another reply back from the Flower Mound PD -

Thank you for your support for Officer Schmidt and his family.  The ride will start at the Harley Davidson in Bedford, TX.  It will travel north on SH 121 to Texan Trail in Grapevine, north on Texans Trail to HWY 26.  It will then proceed over the  Grapevine Dam (Fairway Dr I believe), and into Flower Mound on Lakeside Parkway.  We will travel on Lakeside to Gerault/Morriss, then to FM 1171 and past the accident site.  Then we'll head south on Garden Ridge to FM 3040 and back to Gerault/Morriss.  From there we'll take the same roads back to HD Bedford.

It's about 44-45 miles round trip.  I anticipate it to take at least an hour, depending how many riders show up, etc.
