Looking for streamline comfotable seat.
« on: August 27, 2007, 07:49:55 AM »

Wanted to ask around and see if get some input on what would be the best seat that will move you as far back as you can go and be fairly streamline and comfortable. I have a Mustang two piece seat that sets my about an inch or two further back than my Highend flamed seat that I use on my bike 95% of the time. I would like to have a seat that sets like my Highend and even looks like it but sets me back as much as possible. ??? Thanks!  8)

That's what I would suggest as well, that guy is a miracle worker with these seats...  I am sure if you tell him what you want, he can exceed those expectations...

Go with the extreme mod with memory foam, and it will set you in the bike, he could probably shave off a little more at the back, to sit even farther back, but it is even with my passenger seat now, like a small backrest, if that is far enough back for you...

I even did it myself on my 1300C.
I cut the foam all the way to the pan and then added 3/4" memory foam that my buddy found on a web site for cheap.

Well sent a e mail off to them asking for some help and got this reply:

Chad, If it were a stock seat I could help fix you up but I have never
worked on a HighEnd seat and then there is the cover.  Leather covers have
to be cut to fit a exact shape and reshaping the seat would make the cover
not fit any correctly so there isn't much I can do to help with that.
Sorry I couldn't help.

Thanks,
Allen

There are people who have "spare" seats who will  send them off to bad X for you GBO. I have a stock 1800 R seat, I know Morgan has a 1800 C seat he'll loan, I'm sure others will respond also if you have a 1300.

Bad-X also has the Texas X Riders logo and may be able to put it on your seat...

Ask him.

Chad    You still don't have a seat?  I told ya awhile back I had an Areomach that you can try if you like. I just don't know how to get it there. We seem never to meet up anymore. I've got it on my bike at the moment but fixin to put my Ultimate back on.
