blowing water out exhausts
« on: August 01, 2007, 10:31:51 AM »

I'm blowing water out both exhausts.
Believe it or not the bike starts right up.

I'm breaking the bike down using Darkstar's method of removing the motor.
The manual artical is very long(6 pages).I'm a little hesitant on removing the camshaft I really don't want
to screw up the cam/valve timing.

Do I need the honda tool: Holder Attachment 24x27mm 07930-KA50100 to remove the spark plug sleeve?
Local dealer said if I bring in the motor will chang out the gaskets for $600.00-800.00 :o :o :
But cant get to it untill Nov or Dec

Never done this before, but it seems I have 4 months to try

Is there also white smoke coming out and do you hear a gurgling sound from the exhaust?

I meant coolant. On a ride coming home the bolt on the pipe that connects to the water pump(at the 8 o'clock position) came outI limped home approx 2-3 miles .
I think I blew the head gaskets and will replace them.
The local dlr said bring the motor in but cant work on it untill Nov or Dec and wants $600-800

Looks like I'll remove the motor/heads per Darkstar's thread.

My only hesitation is:
will I screw up the valve time the manual artical is 6 pages looks like a lot of work
Also do need the Honda tool
Holder Attachment 24X27MM 07930-KA-50100?
Ther has to be a simpler way
the manual articial is several pages long
