Exhaust Pipes
« on: May 31, 2006, 03:23:45 PM »

I would like input on the different brands of exhaust pipes for a VTX1300C...........

I want a deep rumble sound and not a rumble metalic sound. I like my Hard Krome Slip Ons but it has that metalic tinkle sound after the nice rumble........

It can be staggered but not pass my rear tire. I do not want a 2 in 1 either. I really like Jason's pipes but being my legs are so short my calf will be hitting the one that curves up over the big engine cover.... >:( I guess I could sit on Jason's bike and see if that will happen...... ::)

I looked at V & H Straight Pipes but I don't know how they sound. Being the reason for this Post.

You can't go wrong with V&H, they sound great, no metalic sound and a great rumble  O0

I've heard, on more than one occasion, that the Jug Huggers sound awsome on the 1300. I'd like to hear them. Any one got'em on a 1300?

I get nothing but compliments with my HK 3" pipes.
But they are loud.

Taz has the 3" HK and they look great and sound good too. I am toying between the Hard Krome Exhaust like the ones Jason (MrVTX) or the ones that Rex (Taz) has on their bikes.

The HK3s has a deeper sound.  I just put my Baffles back in and they are deep. O0

Steve (cybrhick) has the V&H BigShots with Thunder Monster baffles, and it has a good deep sound.  Mike (Girth) has the Jug Huggers on his 1300, and they sound good as well.

I have only heard the Jardines on one 1300 awhile back at a Meet 'N Eat at Wolfies, and they sounded awesome.

Marigold, you just need to pick out which ones you like...they will all sound pretty good.
