My sexy rear end (fender mod and side mount plate) - update 7/25

First, HUGE thanks to JustinVTX and Wahoo.  They let me come over, and JustinVTX did the lion's share of the wiring for the new tail light and side mount plate.  Couldn't have done it without him... or it would have taken a TON longer than the 4 hours this took.

I took a stock C fender and had it chromed by Dirty Joes in Dallas after I removed the license plate and turn signal crap.  Added an LED run/turn/brake tail light.  The side mount plate also has a brake light that brightens during braking.

Looks good Morgan! How much was the chrome job? And, did they strip the paint or did you?

The chrome on my sissy bar and fender was $400 total, so...er...  325?  350?  Yes, they stripped the paint, I asked if they wanted it clean and they said didn't even say "sure if you'd like."  They just said, "Nope, we'll take care of it all for you."

Hmmm, let me know where they're located. Also, did they give you an estimate before the work was done?

They didn't give me an estimate, they gave me a price.  I paid 1/2 down.  They took longer than they said they would but claimed to be having trouble getting chrome to stay in one specific area.  I didn't mind the extra time because I wasn't down.  But the extra month would have really angered me if I was unable to ride.  I'd take things to them again in a heartbeat if I'm in the same situation.

I didn't want to tell him that I had seen your "rear".  His is not too bad, because we added the side mount brake light too.

It's always a good idea to black/white out your license.  E-bay scammers like to scan for pics with license numbers and you can also use your plate to find where the bike lives.

The clean up looks good. O0
