Well..... finally sold the X
« on: July 15, 2007, 03:54:59 PM »

I'm down to one bike for the time being...The Wing.
Actually sold it to the first guy who looked at it off of Craigs list in Austin. Nice guy so if you see it running around down there give the guy a big wave. Got $9500 for it..Probably could have got a few dollars more but not to bad for an '02. I think it was a good deal for both of us. He's a Harley rider who owns a Road King but wanted another bike to cruise the blvd and bars with without having to spend another 25,000. He was loading it up on his trailer wearing his Harley shirt so my wife took some pics and I threatened to blackmail him on the web with his Harley buddies.

Don't know what my next bike will be but I'm in no hurry for now. Probably pick up another one in a year or two. I'll be looking ahead to see what comes down the pike.

Hadn't been on in awhile so thought I'd drop in and say hi. Hope to have some more riding time comming up before to long. I did go ride the 3's about three weeks ago. What a great ride that is.

Congradulations Mark, the guy got a good looking ride and $9500 is pretty dang good for an 02.
I know you would have like to have gotten more because of all the goodies you had on it.

I'll keep mine until it rust .......I mean until all the plastic dries up and falls off.  ;D

Yeah it is pretty cool. First guy that looked at it. Beats the hell out of gaybay if you ask me although I heard the other day that ebay bought it..

I'm done chasing storms. One butt kicking was enough for me. We do alot of work in Austin and Dallas now. Think I'll just stay on 35 from now on.

We're selling the house and looking for land outside of Austin ( with everyone else in the freaking country), I think I'm going to build a house around where we live now and and then when I retire in a couple of years from the F.D. we'll build one down south and move!  We're still in Plano for now so come see us. Hope all is good with your family.
